What a week! This must be the very best course to attend for any Teacher, Development Coach, High Performance Coach, Sports Administrator or Sports Medical practitioner. Solid, sensible, appropriate information for all involved in the Athletic Development pathway.
Vern Gambetta must be congratulated for not only having the concept but for the enormous effort he put into administering the course. I was fortunate to be able to present some information there and took the opportunity of listening to some ‘masters of movement’. The depth of knowledge and the professional deliveries were second-to-none but the cornerstone of the whole event was the unconditional sharing of information.
When we exist in a world of secrecy and ‘guru’s this was a refreshing environment to be in. No ‘special systems’, no ‘world-beating gadgets’, no ‘unique sales opportunities’ – this was learning as it should be.
The clever part of all this is that a delegate never leaves the network and can continue to be both a learner and a sharer through the ongoing dialogue that is created.
