Meeting with Andy Franklyn-Miller
Andy is the Head of Research at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in the UK and has been conducting Physical Competence Assessments on injured servicemen and women. He felt that there were two major positives from this intervention (a) that individual exercise prescription was made a lot easier for the practitioners once they had the movement profile of the patient (b) the patients were encouraged by each micro- improvement they saw in their graphs - when a soldier improved to a '3' after starting at a '1' there was much to be proud of.
