It has been an exciting start to my work with the Al Ain Premier League Club in Abu Dhabi. Lots of listening and observing for the early stages after I conducted a full operational review in May. This observation period has allowed me to see the 'nuts and bolts' of people and processes in the Club. We have started to make some 'quality control' changes to the Sports Medical operation by initiating an Injury Surveillance process and an objective Return to Playing process. Communication is always the key issue in such operations and it is enlightening to see practitioners from Brazil and the UAE combining to effect repeatable excellence at the coaching level. Players are the same the world over - they just want to get better.
